Choosing A Wedding Date

What day you choose to have your wedding is an oddly important aspect of your wedding. Different days or months have different meaning. What season it is can have an effect on what you have to wear. If you want to choose a popular month, you may have to book well in advance or find your dream day already taken. Luckily The Knot has a fairly simple guide to how to choose your wedding date.

How romantic would it be to marry on the date your eyes first met, on the date you officially became a couple, or on your grandparents' anniversary? Some cultures use traditional methods to choose a date -- Japanese families use the koyomi, an ancient astrological calendar, to pick the most propitious day, while ancient Greeks divined pig entrails! Shopping for Bridal Lingerie

One of the top three hardest thing about planning a wedding, after choosing a dress and a venue (choosing a good groom is a close 4th) is choosing a good set of lingerie. Sure, most of the people at the wedding will never see it, but it has to be comfortable, elegant and fit with your dress. Bare Necessities has a fairly in depth (and lengthy) article on choosing and buying the best bridal lingerie for you, which apparently starts before you've even chosen the dress:

The truly prepared bride-to-be will select her underpinnings before her first trip to the bridal boutique. While these wedding undergarments may not be the ones you'll be wearing down the aisle, you'll need something comfortable and flattering to wear when you try on dresses.

Corset and Wedding Gowns

One of the most important things about your wedding is that you look the best you can. And an important, but often unseen, aspect of that, is what you wear under your wedding gown. My Wedding Planner Tips has an interesting article addressing the possibility of having a corset under your wedding gown.

Every bride wishes to look radiant and beautiful on their wedding day. This includes having a wedding gown that flatters and enhances your figure. Most brides do not have perfect figures and despite going on diets and hitting the gym before the wedding, some brides still may have some issues with how their bodies look in their wedding gowns. Some advocate the use of corsets to smoothen out unwanted lumps and bumps and to achieve a streamlined figure.
